It is the year 2030. Humanity is still divided and fighting each other in greater numbers and intensity than before. Amongst all the noise, a catastrophic event that would affect the whole world occurred. An alien empire came to earth and began their invasion. Their goal, most likely is to expand their territory and empire. We don't know their name, but they are simply known as "The Legion".
Months after the initial invasion, a ball of mass came and collided with earth in Asia. Though contrary to it's size and what was expected, a world ending explosion and destruction never came to be. Shortly after, it was discovered that it was a soft ball of soil that contained many species of giant insects. Upon impact, they began to terraform the environment, created nests, and started devouring most living things they could find.
Later it was discovered that amongst all the chaos, smaller force of aliens came to earth. They were in far fewer numbers than the other two, but help immense power. The source of this power and how it works is still a mystery. What also remains a mystery is what their objectives are.
Now humanity must gather the strength to fight back and reclaim the world that was once theirs. This is where you join the story. What kind on contribution will you have? How many others will join in to aid in the fight? Will it be enough to bring about the rise of humanity once again, or will this be the last spurt of effort before our species fades into history?
Due to the escalating conflicts and unrest happening in the world, and new research division was established. Thus, the 333rd research division was established. Their primary research was on nano-technology and it's applications to the military. Two years after the initial invasion, a breakthrough was finally made. They were able to finally use nano-bots to enhance a human being. While it is still in the experimental phase, it is still at a level where they can use it in real world applications. This was the birth of the new Pathfinders. They were given this name as they are helping to find the path forward on this new technology. Along with helping humanity find the path forward towards it's survival. With the first set or the Premier Pathfinders made and lead the way out of the fortified research bunker. They worked their way gathering as many soldiers and civilians that were willing to follow them. This was in the effort to find a place to establish the last bastion of humanity.
This is the emblem that represents the newly formed Pathfinder designation. The shield presents that we are the protectors of humanity.
Each of the three sections (upper left, upper right, and bottom) represent the different types of classes Pathfinder abilities fall into. The upper left represents the abilities that are considered Survival abilities. Upper right is for the abilities that are Assault types. While the bottom denotes the Support type abilities.
The three triangles that are in the center are representations of the types of responsibilities or forms of contribution that Pathfinders make. The top one is a representation of causing damage to the enemies and taking back regions. The bottom left is the form of exploration or discovery. Whether it's exploring the changes made to the world, or discovering our past legacy, and even discovering new things from the enemies. While the bottom right is the responsibility of rebuilding or fortifying humanity. This includes things like helping to develop/rebuild the regions under our control. As well as helping to contribute to the three primary groups of people; civilians, merchants, and military.
The last, yet most important thing, is the symbol in the dead center. This represents that at the core of our motivations, reasons, and actions is for humanity as a whole. It is also the driving force that keeps us going, our own humanity and our determination not to give up.
